Violent Soho Make Their Way to the US With an Upcoming Tour

violentsohoRecently signed to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace Records, Australian band Violent Soho’s next plan of action is crashing the United States in upcoming tour dates with Built to Spill, The Raveonettes, Dinosaur Jr. and even a few headlining slots.

The band is made up of guitarist/vocals Luke Boerdam, guitarist James Tidswell, bassist Luke Henery, and drummer Michael Richards.  They got together five years ago in a suburb of Brisbane and started playing music, rebelling against the Bible belt life of Mansfield.

After scoring a label deal with one of their heroes, VS is working on a new release that elaborates on their previous Australian album We Don’t Belong Here.  Their debut full-length album will be out in March 2010, but until then you can catch VS at one of their shows.
