Many of us have cherished childhood memories counting, reading, and singing along with our favorite pals on Sesame Street. Although we may not have noticed at the time, Sesame Street has been a major staple for celebrity guest appearances and musical acts for the past 40 years.
Sesame Street will be celebrating their 40th season of the show starting November 10, and will no doubt continue showcasing celebrity cameos revealing their inner child.
The show has featured an extensive variety of musical guests including Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Bela Fleck, and more recently Feist, singing heartfelt renditions of their own hit songs, tailored to educate children and teach valuable life lessons.
The beloved Muppets have evolved from children’s characters to pop culture icons making appearances in real life settings like award shows and talk shows. With such a significant impact on our culture, we’re likely to see Elmo and friends celebrating another forty years on the famous Sesame Street.
