Coming into the final closing stretch of a year in which they were named “County Rock Breakthrough of the Year” by Rolling Stone, Deer Tick is ready to add more tinder to its already burning flame.
The Providence, RI rockers will finish work on their upcoming release, slated for the first half of 2010 titled More Fuel for the Fire (Partisan).
The EP will feature songs both old and new, including Deer Tick’s live-show classic “Straight Into A Storm,” which was recorded during a set at the Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, NC.
More Fuel for the Fire is an honest continuation of the band’s upbeat-tempo, raspy vocal rock it delivered on its previous releases. Four of the tracks including “Straight Into A Storm,” “La La La,” “Dance Of Love” and “Axe is Forever” are now available on iTunes, with extended release on Dec. 15.
Deer Tick is scheduled to begin a territorial assault of a tour in support of its upcoming release in the new year. Check back to Greenshoelace in the coming weeks for show dates!
