    Introducing: Morakestra

mora_picFrom the Partridge Family to Oasis, family acts don’t go wrong. Morakestra is no different, made up of David and Will Mora- this alternative band is on the rise.

Originating from El Paso, Texas the Mora brothers were first pushed towards recording and polishing their sound by guitar icons Mario Otero and Charles Teitsworth. With their help, the Mora brothers had their debut album, Live in Moraq , released in 2007. The album featured many other musicians, but it was the Moras who stood out with their impressive guitar riffs and melodic vocals.

Morakestra then released their second album, Witness To Connection, in June 2009 to highly acclaimed reviews. The album has an impressive team backing it, including producer Jim Ward who has founded At the Drive In and Sleepercar, and sound engineer Gabe Gonzalez who has done work for Girl in a Coma. The album has an overall powerful pop alternative sound with foreceful guitar riffs, heavy reverb, and congenial harmonies.

You can download the hardhitting catchy alternative with a tinge of country track, “Tell You Something” HERE and watch the video for the same song below. The video features CSI Miami’s Megalyn Echikunwoke and is directed by Tao Ruspoli, director of Fix.
