Los Angeles based psychedelic rock trio, The Entrance Band kicked off their tour last week in Tuscon, AZ. Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace! Records band will continue on the tour with Myspace vocoder pop sensation, LIGHTS through February. This will be before LIGHTS goes to embark on tour with fellow koosh pop artist Owl City.
Although an odd pairing for tour, The Entrance Band is one to be on the look out for. Thurston Moore himself has even stated, “The Entrance Band’s new music is the most alluring and yes, entrancing vibe I’ve yet to experience in this new age.” The self titled album features ethereal vocals and driving heavy guitars, played by frontman Guy Blakeslee left handed and upside down. Having received recent praise for their civil rights jam, “MLK” from Vanity Fair this is by far just the beginning for this threesome.
