Freshin’ it up with Xylos

xylosFolk Pop band Xylos are making splashes teaming up with producer Britt Meyers (Chairlift, Yeasayer) for their forthcoming debut LP set to drop in 2010. The Brooklyn quintet recently released the single “Not Enough,” from their upcoming album and is scheduled to be featured on MTV Iggy’s “What’s Fresh,” –a show that highlights up and coming artists.

The group’s 5 members share singing and songwriting duties on the upcoming album, and sight the likes of The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac, as influences.—And oh yes, there’s an accordion player. The vibrant and flirtatious “Not Enough,” swallows sweet and easy, with dual male and female vocal harmonies to round up a moderate tempo of guitar and banjo. If their 2010 debut is as charming as the first single, Xylos is sure to be having those Keds a’tap, tap, tappin’ on into the New Year.

In the coming week the band will be making appearances in select locations on the East Coast with Lissy Trullie:

12.15.09 :: TT the Bear’s, Cambridge, MA
12.16.09 :: DC9, Washington, DC
12.17.09 :: Kung Fu Necktie, Philadelphia, PA
12.18.09 :: Maxwell’s, Hoboken, NJ (without Lissy Trullie)
