If you haven’t heard of Dan Black you will. After becoming a hit on the internet with his incredible cover of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize.” The cover titled HYPNTZ became a viral sensation. In fact, it garnered so much attention,that Biggie’s camp forbade Dan Black from ever using the original lyrics of the famous song. So Dan Black changed the lyrics and created the seriously amazing “Symphonies.” The inventive hybrid of hip-hop and indie rock is sure to make 2010 a huge year for the newly signed artist. If you haven’t seen the video for “Symphonies” do yourself a favor and be AMAZED. It will definitely go down as one of my favorite videos of the year. Kid Cudi, who is in my other favorite video loved “Symphonies” so much that he collaborated with Dan Black in an NYC studio for several new singles set to be released in early 2010. This will be a great compliment to Dan Black’s Spring 2010 release of  ((un)) which will feature several new track’s that can only be found on the U.S release. In support of ((un)) Dan Black is doing a handful of North American shows. If you are lucky enough to be in one of these cities, do yourself a favor and check out this phenomenal act before he gets huge. You heard it here first.
